When trying to shed pounds, your focus is likely to be on the foods you can’t eat. That and along with exercise dominates most people’s diet plans. However, this might be a little bit shortsighted. Especially, since certain foods can actually help you with weight loss.

Peppers are another great food choice to lose weight. Spicy food is well known to aid in this effort because it contains capsaicin, which boosts the metabolism. This is the same substance that gives peppers their spicy heat. Jalapenos, chili peppers, red peppers, you name it. If it’s a spicy pepper, it will work.
Yet another food that you may find helpful is air popped popcorn. None of that movie theater stuff. That’s filled with fat, oil, and is just not very good for you. Air popped popcorn, however, is filled with fiber without all the added bad stuff. Specifically, the hull of popcorn contains polyphenols, which is a kind of antioxidant they can aid in weight loss and even prevent disease.
With the exception of peppers, you may notice something all of these things have in common. They’re all highly fibrous and leave you feeling fuller for longer. These foods can be added to your diet without adding a lot of extra calories. Of course, you still want to maintain a well-balanced diet of vegetables, fruits, lean sources of protein, and some carbohydrates. Adding these particular foods will just make your weight loss efforts a little bit easier to manage.
